Melrose Avenue, the furniture galleries
Walk it west to east in the afternoon, when the light is on the north side of the street.
The stretch of Melrose Avenue between Doheny Drive and La Cienega is where the furniture houses keep their showrooms: a short walk of galleries and workrooms that ends at the Pacific Design Center, with the antique dealers of the design district on the streets behind.
