The courtyard café is the quiet lunch in Westwood.

The Hammer Museum opened in 1990 on Wilshire at Westwood Boulevard and is run by UCLA. Admission is free. The courtyard sits at the centre of the building, and the programme of contemporary shows changes every few months; an hour is enough to see one properly.
A note on the place, and illustrations, until Michael’s own are ready.
