The polo field at Will Rogers
Bring a chair for the sideline. There is no charge to watch.
Will Rogers’ ranch became a state park in 1944. The polo field he laid out below the house is the last one in Los Angeles, and matches are played there on weekend afternoons from spring through autumn. The ranch house is kept as he left it, and the trail behind it climbs to Inspiration Point.
A note on the place, and an illustration, until Michael’s own are ready.
